I would suggest AKG K271. Pretty good sounding plus exellent isolation, and cost about $150.- clevermouse1984

D-777 Going Cheap
well, 777 is pretty nice, but i prefer D-E905/900. they looks quite the same, and, 905 is a 1998 product and along with ESP2, which makes it a better carry-on discman.- clevermouse1984

Which Headphone BRAND Do You Like Most?
well, before voting I guess the top two should be sennhaiser and AKG, but the No.3 is really hard to guess. I usually recognize Grado to be top 5----and just No.5. IMO the tranditional big-5 is AKG Audio-Technica Beyerdynamic Koss and Sennhaiser, but Koss just quit the middle-range market and...- clevermouse1984

Short question about A900 (also w5000)
well, i only heard a1000 and w5000. a1000 is good, and w5000 is amazing that i think it`s just second to k1000 among every phone I heard. check at kakaku.com, you`ll find out a900 is not that noble as it seems.- clevermouse1984

Well, it seems that K271s is not welcome here, but I still recommand it. It has a precise soundstage, and easy to drive. the bass is good, and the high is really smooth with moderate mid. the most important thing is you can get a new pair of it below $150! I used to compare it to the ath A1000...- clevermouse1984

Any MiniDisc lovers?
to mackay maus I`ve got a MD just like your ID----the pioneer Mk2----a special edition for mickey mouse. It`s lovely and sounds great----I prefer it as top 3 of all Sharp models. to hYdrociTy well, I guess that the latest Sonicstage 4.0 may have a MAC version. Earpads for the AKG K601 and K701 - are they different ?
I think they are not completely the same. I`ve tried a 601 and a 701, seems that the earpad of 701 is a little bit harder then 601`s, which provide more suspension and less comfortable( I think, may vary for others ). And I must say that $15/18 is a nice price, for I could only buy a pair of...- clevermouse1984
