Hey, I'm very interested in getting an amp and dac for my new Senn HD650's, how do you think the EHP-02 and the Edac would drive these?

That's an interesting comment... how is it not good enough? Is it because the source material may be lower than 320kbps or lossless or is it because you think the technology on which radio relies transmits bad quality audio?   EDIT: I'm not picking a fight, I'm genuinely interested.

I might as well just ask this here:   What is the 'amp of choice' for the HD650s? Is there one majority favorite? Obviously the cheaper the better - but no so cheap that it really sacrifices sound quality.

For those of you who are interested I've had the chance to carefully listen to both headphones over the last two weeks and have drawn some conclusions. Both are coming through computer RCA onboard (24bit, 48k, flac). Both are in the $200 range.   Where the Senn HD380 Pros win: - Sub Bass...

Update: Done more than enough lurking here since this post to realize that an amp won't make much of a difference at all. Nontheless, I am getting the Essence ST in a few days for the cheap amp (not that I will really need it for anything more than, say, HD380s) and for the extra speaker quality...
