    Radsone EarStudio ES100

I will note that the Qudelix 5K uses the same Sabre DAC chip as most BTRs. I find its highs more detailed but a bit spicier than the ES100's AKM chip -- which is odd since they graph the same and both measure extremely low for distortion.

    Radsone EarStudio ES100

That "Disable/Preamp/Headphone Amp" setting only selects the output level estimation calculation in the app -- the thing that if you put in the correct impedance and sensitivity for your headphones, will tell you how many decibels a max-volume sound file will be with the volume set how it is...

    Radsone EarStudio ES100

Yes, it's the volume it would be if you played a sound that almost clips but just not quite, with the input device's software volume control(s) set to 100%. The decibel estimate it gives is only based on the maximum mV it will output at the ES100's analog volume setting, and the values you put...

SHURE CUTS THE CORD: RMCE-TW1 / TW2 - THE TRUE WIRELESS THREAD

I've only got the TW1 but that was my impression too -- they want to preserve the tuning of the earphone, so the selection just changes the max volume and how much difference each volume step makes, so as not to damage your hearing if you connect an SE846 and then accidentally press and hold...

    Radsone EarStudio ES100

I do think the ES100 has the nicer app and I like its smoother, warmer AKM sound. But I end up using the 5K because it has more detailed highs and not just more treble quantity in my opinion, and its PEQ can easily make the sound warmer if I want. Also, giant usability improvement, it doesnt...

That's assuming he was saying poorly produced tracks tend to hit the few annoying peaks Timeless has out of the box. I read it more as saying Timeless has more detail and resolution than whatever he's coming from, making flaws in poorly produced recordings audibly annoying -- unless it becomes...

I got a Tripowin Nucool balanced cable for mine. It's a mix of SPC and OFC strands. I think it's subtly improved my Timeless, though I'm not sure whether that's more the move to balanced, the metals in this cable, or just that I switched away from the stock cable. Some pages back somebody...

I got lucky on the Timeless too -- I can't hear any real channel imbalance, and when I do it's always a fit/tip issue and re-inserting them a couple times fixes it. I hear a nicely wide soundstage, though not with the striking amount of empty space between instruments I can hear on the SE846...

If you get the Timeless, I'd be interested in how it compares. I don't have any of those 3 but I'd say it trades blows with my other favorite IEM, Shure SE846.

Almost certainly. I plug them straight into my Galaxy S7 Edge and around 70%ish on the volume control makes a good listening volume, any higher is too loud. It's more power hungry than many IEMs I've used, but they really don't need anything special. Still, they sound better on my Qudelix 5K...

It may be a question of what they're coming from. This is mid-fi. If you're coming from KZs, the imaging will blow you away. If you're coming from MEST, you'll probably find it a lot more meh. HUGE upgrade, and good choice. Timeless is looking like one of the best IEMs you can buy in this price...

SHURE CUTS THE CORD: RMCE-TW1 / TW2 - THE TRUE WIRELESS THREAD

I don't know if the Ananda BT supports tweaking A2DP latency, and I'm pretty sure that this is mostly something the receiving device has to do. It's possible to adjust latency *some* on a transmitter, but it's ultimately up to the device how long a buffer it uses between receiving and playing...

For me they fit quite well, behind only Fiio FH3 and anything Shure. You might try tips other than what it came with though. It comes with a nice selection, but I'm getting a better fit and better sound (to me) with tips from a Sony MDR-EX15 (well worth the $8.99 it costs just to get the tips...

SHURE CUTS THE CORD: RMCE-TW1 / TW2 - THE TRUE WIRELESS THREAD

Best I can come up with is Qudelix 5K => short cable that's just long enough to go from shirt collar to ears => SE846. The cable can be plugged into anything, with a headphone extension cable if needed, but I mostly end up just using the 5K since it can do Bluetooth with LDAC and an option for...
