You can cover the tip of the screwdriver with electric tape, this should give you the grip needed. For such critical screws, we used to take diamond paste, which acts like an interlock between the screwdriver and the head of the screw. Maybe something like hand wash paste made with walnut shell...

Beside all reported issues about the device, a big shout-out to @FiiO for contributing so heavily to help out and fix the issues. It's not that common to have fast responses from the MoT. Thanks a lot for all the advices helping people out. :thumbsup:

That's really mad, to deal with a faulty device and don't get the support from the vendor. Yes, as an owner (and user) of the Alpha6400, there was no way around. :) I like to fiddle around with the settings.

No issues with my Xperia 1 mk3 since 3 years, except the damage I've done to it. ^^ The weak link is the battery, ime. Soundwise it is really good, but hasn't enough power to drive lots of headphones to loud levels. Can listen to my FD7s with volume nearly maxed out without. Not in any way a...

I second this. Maybe it's a bit of mental bias ( for sure it is :ksc75smile: ), but I've yet to find an amp/dac that mess up the sound out of the Era-1. Guess an unsuitable amp like my TA26 tube (for my VO) will screw down the quality. ^^

It'd be my Quad Era-1 for sure. Not my first "audiophile" headphone, but the most enjoyable bc it works wonderfully with all genres I listen to. :metal:
