USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I'd just like to share the fact that Ibasso DC03 works well with my Samsung A72. That is all. (I have a suspicion that the compatibility issue surrounding DACs and Samsung phones actually has more to do with their Exynos processor rather than the Samsung brand, but I can't prove this at all...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I need to address the obvious first: have you tried using the BTR3K as a wired DAC from a computer? Coming from wireless, you might notice some improvement! If you really want to buy a dongle, my vote is on HD Sonata Pro. 1. It has a volume control on the device itself 2. The USB cable is...

    FiiO FD5 - 1DD Flagship from FiiO

For some iems, an arc shape can cause fit issues, and for that reason alone I vote for straight. Sorry, I don't use Facebook.

Shanling UP4 & UP2 - Bluetooth 5.0 DAC/AMP with ES9218P, balanced output, supporting LDAC, HWA LHDC, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX and AAC.

Thanks! I searched everywhere and can't find any locally.. I would have to source it from Aliexpress (which I really don't want to do unless I have to). I think I'm just going to use my existing dongles if I need a dongle, and leave the UP4 for pure BT purposes. Thanks again! Have you done a...

TRI earphone impressions - I4 and I3, Starlight, NEW Starsea

How hard to drive is a hard-to-drive iem, really? Because that's been putting me off some models (Believe, i3, among others).. Would the Shanling UP4 or BTR3K enough to drive them? What about the DC03 or Sonata HD Pro? (By enough I mean such that lack of power is not detrimental to sound...

I'm just hoping the NA2+ reaches Indonesia

    Best IEM tips?

The biggest pain is that unless the manufacturer sells their filter (like Moondrop does), you're unlikely to get the original filter back. So it has to be a pair you're willing to ruin, or a mod that you know would work. Does the mid sounds full on the dusk? It makes sense if he's trying to...

    The discovery thread!

Oh? This is the first Whizzer I ever tried. No stores sell them here, I bought mine used from someone who bought them from Aliexpress. (I half suspect he sold it due to the fit issues?)

    The discovery thread!

My Whizzer HE-01 just arrived. The fit and comfort is horrible. It keeps detaching itself from my ears until I switched to an M size AET07 and changed the cable to the TRN T2. The default cable has an angled QDC-like (but not quite QDC) connector, whose angle puts the housing at an off fit in...

Btw I just tried it out, the NM2+ really does use a QDC. My TRN T2 cable (with QDC ending) fit them perfectly. (I felt the need to test because I once thought the TFZ T2G use QDC - turns out they don't.)

    Best IEM tips?

Does anyone know if Kbear bought Acoustune? I see a local seller selling the Acoustune AET07 as "Kbear 07" likewise with the 08. @WendyLi perhaps? (I guess I should've said "a set of IEMs that look identical to the Acoustune, down to the color and size combinations: white for M, black for M-, etc)

    Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

Haha yeah. I don't mind personally, it's just a bad marketing decision. It's confusing to the consumer and I don't see how it would benefit Moondrop. There are millions of potential names, especially since Moondrop has various naming schemes from Spaceship/Starfield/Stardust to SSR/KXXS to...

    Moondrop in-ear monitors Impressions Thread

Sorry I didn't mean the bit about discontinuing. I meant naming your product with something which not only is a name for a different product, it's your own product!
