    the most comfortable headphones ?

I am looking for more comfortable headphones.  Despite my best efforts, I find I can't wear headphones for very long.  The only ones I seem to tolerate are some Sennheiser wireless I use for TV watching in the bedroom when the wife is asleep.     I have HD-600's and find them too warm to...

    Nor-Cal Feb 11/2012 Impressions Thread

Dang!  I wish I had been following the forum more closely.  Is there a e-calendar I can subscribe to that would keep us all posted on upcoming events?  Looks like a great show!  Particularly loved the DIY aspect

Chesky Records makes a high-rez album for Head-Fi'ers--in binaural!

I would love to hear someone do a head-fi review of the 24/96 vs the higher rez version.  Can you hear a difference?  If so, in what ways?  For those of us who like to stretch our music dollar, this would be great and instructive.  Perhaps a double blind test?  Anyone up for it?

Good Headphone for these qualities - "effortless" and "immediacy", microdynamics

What are orthodynamics?  I also would agree that I have never heard the Sennheisers as harsh.  BTW, my main audio system is Martin Logan Requests and Logos center channel

Good Headphone for these qualities - "effortless" and "immediacy", microdynamics

I am looking for a new set of phones to contrast with my Senn 600's.  Don't know if I am ready to lay out for Electrostatic, but would like to find something that is effortless in reproducing subtle nuance in music, like the harmonics on a guitar string, microdynamics for instance.   Would I...

    Looking for high-end, Comfortable Headphones

OK, A number of months have past, I purchased some Senn HD-600. Find them to be a little dark, and also kind of warm after wearing them a while. I am tempted by the Head-Fi Grado HF-2's (curious), but am wondering about comfort. Anything new come along I should look at. Something that is...

    tube guitar headphone amp

I have fallen in love with the Suhr Badger 18 with Divided by 13 cabinets but would much rather have a home headphone unit that accomplished the same at high quality. I would prefer to buy rather than build, but if I must, I can solder something together. Any ideas?

    Looking for high-end, Comfortable Headphones

What transformer/amp would you use with the O2? How would you compare the Stax signature with the Beyerdynamics mentioned above? Thanks. By the way, catscratch, do you have a speaker based stereo as well?

    Looking for high-end, Comfortable Headphones

catscratch, I tried the K1000's at the San Jose meet, seemed a little wierd to me. I also tried the low end Stax connected to the Woo Audio ES amp, and I found it very impressive, but don't know how the comfort would be over hours or whether the sound was a good first impression but would wear...

    Looking for high-end, Comfortable Headphones

How do you loosen up the HD600's and 650's? An can anyone describe the sound characteristics of the Beyerdynamics dt880?s say vs. the HD600's which I have heard?

    Looking for high-end, Comfortable Headphones

I have been a lurker on here for a while, attended the San Jose meet and consider myself an audiophile in a good way. I am looking for some full-size headphones I can use at home that emphasize comfort first, sound second. Cost is not a major issue. I don't want them to get too warm to...

    Any head-festers into DIY woodworking?

I have a very complete workshop (wood and metal) and would be interested in learning more about mods, particularly around the Grado series. Let me know if you are interested in chatting about it some time. regards, jim San Carlos
