My first eargasm - Valhalla for my headphones took my virginity
I would think that "aurgasm" is a better word. EDIT: Sorry for necro'ing the thread, didn't read date. -
24th July Perth, Western Australia
I'd be interested to come along, I don't have much equipment but it would be interesting to see and try what other people have to offer. I know a few of the other state's meets have been quite successful.- Chamakazi

Grado SR-60i smell?
You may want someone to check for DC offset on your source, if you don't happen to have a multimeter. Also try checking inside the phones to see if there's anything caught in the driver. oh, and Quote: Yea, because your first post on this thread totally wasn't a personal attack.- Chamakazi

Petition: I would like the old site back (or other choice)
Quote: Thanks, it works. I've also used HTML (source button) to add links and stuff, similar to what BBcode could do. Still, I prefer BBcode to HTML.- Chamakazi

+1 against the new layout. I really don't like it, way too much open space and bright colours, and the text is rather hard to read, a sans serrif font would be much easier to read. The new layout has killed my sig, it got cut off about halfway through. The signature editor won't let...- Chamakazi

What headphones you plan to buy next
I'm planning to buy some Alessandro MS-1i's in the near future, and perhaps some AD700's for gaming. Some closed headphones might be nice in the future, maybe some Ultrasones. I'll probably be getting a DAC fairly soon too, maybe a Zero, Sparrow, or uDAC. I don't really need any IEM's at the...- Chamakazi

Source for molded UE IEM connectors
I found that my Super.Fi 3 cables came loose after about a month of use. The pins seem to loosen after a while, loosening the grip on the earphone. I'm using a little bit of sticky tape right now, seems to work.- Chamakazi

SR325s Cable
I wouldn't think that it would change the sound of the headphone. The stiffness is most likely the insulation becoming hard, not the conductors. The sound shouldn't change unless the actual conductor and connections are corroded, or damaged. If you want to recables your headphones, there... -
Audio Technica AD700 Recabling/Replacement Cables.... what?
Markertek will ship internationally, but the minimum order is $100, excluding shipping. I'm not sure about the shipping charges themselves. -
Grado SR-60i smell?
Have you tested the sound card for DC offset? This may be your problem.- Chamakazi

Thin headphone wire, where to buy?
If you are willing to make your own cable from scratch, I might suggest some mini starquad (Mogami 2893 or Canare L-4E5C) and a suitable plug. These cables are quite thin (4.8mm O.D.) but they may still be too thick for your application. You would have to do your own soldering and assembly... -
