Thank you! I have the KSE1200 and I LOVE it but I thought I could simplify my setup (I also don't like the fact I need the energizer) with another earphone that could come close to the electrostatic sound of the Shure. But I guess it won't happen and I will keep my 1200 for a very long time :)

Could you please make a short comparison between ie900 and kse1200? I wonder how close is the ie900 to the electrostatic earphone.

Is anyone using these earphones with a different amp than the default one that Shure provides? Is it even possible doing it?

Current Khadas version works on usb power. We'll see if the new one will have separate power input like D50. If you cut the ground wire in the usb cable the dac won't be recognized by the OS not sure how could anyone suggest doing it.

I know what you mean and you are perfectly right. I owned D50 and I still have a pretty clean (kind of DIY) 5V power supply. This power supply made an audible improvement to the tiny Sabaj da3 but wasn't able to improve D50 (to my ears of couse). Which means that D50 has a just as good power...

Have you found any info about Katana vs D50? I am also looking at this new Allo DAC, should be better than D50 with I2S input and those Sparkos op-amps but without listening you never know... I find my D50 sounding better with very short USB cable - I have a 4cm long one right now. I think...
