Ok, I also found the GR07 MK2 CLASSIC for 125 dollars including shipping which translates to about 90 euros. That would be a bargain for me.   Are they just as good as the original MK2's?

  I was referring to the different iterations in the MK2 model.   This is a case for the GR07 (MK1 if you will)     Then there's still the two different versions of the MK2:               And this one:     I'm guessing the smaller box version of the MK2 comes with the black tips...

How does the GR07 Bass edition differ from the GR07 MK2? Do many people prefer the Bass edition over the MK2?

I looked this one up but reading about bad contacts and bad durability overall, this one is off-putting for me.     I think I need to decide between the IE80/IE8 from Senn or still go for the GR07 and live with the non-detachable cable.   I did read the GR07 handles metal especially well so...

Are the GR07 just as comfortable without the earrubbers? I'm thinking I would be losing them within a week so if the GR07 can easily go without them it would be a great plus.
