[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!

Received my pair of Monk +'s  48 hours ago and did an overnight burn in. Gotta say, after a 4 hour session, I'm also very impressed. They're a noticeable improvement over my Blox M2c's and BE3's. I didn't get the expansion pack, but I did have various foam pads lying around from Sennheisers...

Looking for low impedance (less than 8 ohm) earbuds for my Sansa Clip

With the clip, My recommendation would be to put the rockbox firmware on the clip and get a pair of soundmagic e80's with the included comply foams and adjust the rockbox settings. I know you said cheap, but don't settle for that cheap. Even though the e80's are 64 ohms, the rockbox firmware can...

    Blox earbuds Discussion (TM7, M2C, ANV3, BE3/BE5/BE7, B160/B320)

Depends on your audio source, but if your ears aren't too small, the Mrice Earbell E100 has outstanding bass for an earbud. As I've mentioned in my previous post, they are on a whole different level of bass quality in comparison to the Blox BE3's which in my opinion are still bass strong, but...

    Blox earbuds Discussion (TM7, M2C, ANV3, BE3/BE5/BE7, B160/B320)

Just speaking for myself, I have no issues with my BE3's. Broken them in for about 100 hours now. If the bass was unbalanced, I'd have immediately noticed them on mine. Wait and see what others on the forum say, but I can't say I'm experiencing your problem.

    Blox earbuds Discussion (TM7, M2C, ANV3, BE3/BE5/BE7, B160/B320)

Just got my BE3's from Blox. Straight out of the blocks ( no pun intended ), I can already tell they are going to be my favorite earbud. Using them with a rockbox'd Sansa Clip, I found I didn't have to change the settings all that much from the M2C's. Added 1 notch to the Bass because the BE3's...

High-End Earbuds (VE, Blox, SHOZY etc) and Earbud Gear Discussion & Impressions Thread

Thanks for the great review. Currently waiting on my pair to arrive. In my collection, I've got pk1's, pk3's, senn 580's, Tingo TG38's, blue ever blue 328rm's, and Blox's M2C's, but I use them all with the full covers ( The tingo's, I like the least) . How much do you think I'll be giving up on...

    Blox earbuds Discussion (TM7, M2C, ANV3, BE3/BE5/BE7, B160/B320)

I so badly wanted the tg38s to be giant killers that I actually convinced myself that they were better than the M2C's and that couldn't be farther from the truth. I spent so much time with them hoping the sound coming out of them would mature to the point that I could eventually understand why...

Reply to review by 'callanish' on item 'Philips SHE3590BK/10 In-Ear Headphones (Black)'

Totally agree with everything you said. The secret, for me, to get the best out of these Philips has been to use the rockbox firmware on my sansa clip along with the comply's T500 tips. Burning them in for around 30 hours and tweaking the sound using the rockbox settings has tamed the peakiness...

    Dasetn/Tingo/Baldoor earbuds Reviews and Impressions

If I'm that I've burned these in for 125 hours, the tizzyness is still there for me as well. I've given them my best shot with EQ adjusting and actually convinced myself that I was happy with the sound, but the truth is I'm not and I've put them in the drawer. If it's due to also...

Headphones you regretted buying the most

Akg k430's. Spent so much time with them trying to justify my purchase in hopes of making them sound at least decent that I went past the time in which I could return them. Now I keep them way out of sight as a constant reminder not to easily buy into anything CNET says in a review. They're a...

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread

i would recommend using the bbe enhanced 'soundmax pro app' with that setup. That's the way I have my 5th gen touch with the UE's and I find it ties the sound quality together nicely after tweaking the app settings

DEAL ALERT (AMAZON): UE TripleFi 10

My $99 pair are still going strong with the original cable. Keep hearing people telling me to go with the Westone cables to replace the OEM ones Still need convincing on that. So far, I've got good fit and great sound so no complaints here.

My letter to Sandisk Sansa - Praising them for 3 years of 99% stress free listening. I HOPE SANSA READS THIS!!!!

Quote:     .....and this is where I really embarrass myself showing my age. I was thinking about the good old days of the Creative Zen Xtra and Zen NX that originally had the 55MW / CH output. Seems Creative changed the specs and output with the Zen vision M. On a Sansa note though...

Quote:     late to the thread, but just for clarification, we are talking all these players power output at 16ohms correct? The Creative Zen had 55MW per channel at 16ohms not 30MW.
