Marantz Se-1 Channel Imbalance (need help)
I recently purchased a marantz electrostatic headphone but there seems to be some channel imbalance on the left side. I opened up the driver and found that one of the wires that connects to the driver has split and was thinking this was the cause. What would be the appropriate fix for this? Im...- BushkaNicke

Audeze's 2016 revamp, re-voiced and re-engineered headphones, the entire line (except Sine and EL8 Ti; these have updates as standard)
Audeze is really messing up the used market with all these updates- BushkaNicke

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF
Given the th-x00 sound differences, I would assume that the wood could have a definate impact on the sound and should be considered as a factor.- BushkaNicke

What is the endgame in the flat realm ? What about a flat response headphone ranking ? What about a club or something ?
As far as closed headphones, i dont see many others in your budget. If you like iems, there is a lot of neutral options. I havent personally heard them, but many reccomend etymotics- BushkaNicke

Meet the HD 598 Special Edition
From what I've heard, the sound should be identical aside from quality control from the manufacturer.- BushkaNicke

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
As far as powering them goes, any amp should be able to get them loud enough; however, there is a lot of dispute that planars need to paired well to get the best out of them. The ef-5 i used to own did a good job of taming the highs and making it sound more "full". I would recommend a tube amp...- BushkaNicke

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
That's reassuring. I have never had an issues with any of my hifimans so I expect the same from Audeze. I think the lcd 2 would be a good companion for the he 500- BushkaNicke

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
Im looking in to purchasing one of the rev 1 lcd 2s; should I be worried about the life expectancy of the driver or any other issues? I figured if its lasted this long, it must be a pair that has not had an QC issues.- BushkaNicke

Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion
I've tried nearly every hifiman headphone, except the he-6 and 1000, and i'd have to say it competes with the best.- BushkaNicke

I second the k612. As far as neutral goes, AKG seems to be the best at displaying it and the k612 is no exception.- BushkaNicke

Set on buying he-400, any other recommedations?
Im definately not a bass head but i think i would apprieciate the bass it has from the reciews. Im looking for a headphone that is not neutral but also has good clarity. The he-400i also seems like a good choice.- BushkaNicke

Rising cost of "audiophile" equipment and importance of bias/blind testing
Placebophiles are everwhere. Since the he-6 costs more, it must be leaps ahead of the he-500 and not just a different sound signature and slightly improved driver and clarity. I can fully believe someone liking a pair of grados over stax sr 009's out of personal preference, but apparently, i...- BushkaNicke
