Thank you for your great review and measurement! Though still I prefer velpad, I should say that I like aliexpress pad in the end. Good texture and good value. I'm trying more pads. What I noticed was that the velour on the hifiman store is not original HE-6's. Original he-6 is rigid...- Breakfastwasgood

Yes. "Imaging" is a very important key factor. The "weakest" point of HE6SE when especially compared to HE6 is not bass impact, not speed, not soundstage, but "more 2D like imaging". That degrades other sound qualities as well as itself. " Note that you should push your earpad when using velpads...- Breakfastwasgood

I read your post. Thanks to your post, I could try many different pads! The difference I heard may be due to the condition of old pads.. or something else...?(or my condition. WOW... Velpad is the best earpad I've ever tried, including palipad(smooth signigure but veiled and worst imaging), velour of original HE6(good but not best), aliexpress velour(recently recommended, distracting sound, bad imaing), and ether angled pad(which was my favorite combo) It makes HE6SE...- Breakfastwasgood
