Looking for pair of headphones to buy tomorrow, boxing day :)

If your somewhere that has a FS you might be able to get to a TigerDirect store that carries so decent equipment, both the HD485 - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...&sku=S302-1142 - and the CX300 - http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...045&CatId=2381 - are well reviewed and well within...

    I'm gonna say this once...

Try the Antec p180 - http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=81800 - it's a case built to reduce noise. I've got some friends who are the "hardcore" gamer types who use this case and I have to say it's pretty damn effective.

    Sennheiser HD485 or not?

I don't find my 485's particularly bassy either... maybe fresh out of the box but after a few weeks of listening they calmed down significantly and leveled out quite a bit but YMMV. Their easily my favorite budget cans.

    Gaming/Skyping headphone with mic

Yep anything from Sennheisers gaming headset line should do the trick nicely if your really opposed to adding a clip on mic.

Finally found a use for my speakers!!

Sweet, although almost insulting to the Senns to have to touch something so inferior

    Gaming/Skyping headphone with mic

X2 on the idea of combining a good set of headphones with a clip-on mic, for gaming I'm using the HD485 + the Zalman clip-on and couldn't be happier.

I need your help! <$80 headphones

I'd really take a look at the HD485s... their pretty under appreciated here being a budget headphone but I have a set that works pretty well for what I paid for them... this thread and another one elsewhere is what sold me - http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showt...ighlight=HD485
