    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

I'm CRAZY about having centered sound. I was frustrated for over a month owning the M80 because I thought my left side was louder than my right side... Eventually I got used to it. Maybe there wasn't a problem after all. I still find them slightly uncomfortable. They don't sit flat on my...

    V-MODA Crossfade M-80 Reviews

I've recently acquired an M-80 from a fellow Head-Fier, and I have to say -- I'm thoroughly impressed. In comparison to my ATH-M50 (white box): -The build quality and feel is much more "premium" feeling -It seems to have a little more bass. It goes deeper and seems more controlled. -I'm...

150~ Headphones, well balanced, slight emphasis on bass

Quote:   These are great recommendations. Exactly the list I had in mind. However, it seems that a lot of people consider the DT770 a very bassy can, so keep that in mind. But if your issue is with muddiness, I don't think you'll have any problems with them. The HFI 580 is fantastic...

Are the Audio Technica ATH-M50s right for me?

I have the ATH-M50, and here are some genuine observations: 1. They do offer a decent amount of passive isolation. Hardly any noise leaks out and not too much goes in. However, I took them on a plane and they didn't fare very well in isolating the noise. I had to crank the volume up...

    Meelec M6P - first impressions

Thanks for your impressions on the M6 Sorry to hear about the comfort issues because I think they're pretty comfortable already. What I really DON'T like about them is the lack of a mesh cover to prevent debris from falling through the nozzle. It's a simple but irritating overlook in my...

I saw a guy with a black Senn PX100. I also saw a guy with those cheap white Sony portables.

[REVIEW] V-Moda M-80: YES, a Headphone CAN Look Good AND Sound Good!

Thanks for the comprehensive review, loving the pictures too I've been tempted to get these for quite some time, but I've been a bit concerned about the bass. I already know the HD 25-1 II has more bass impact, but how might the M-80 fare against it? Is it fun to listen to, or is it too flat...

    Headphone Sightings 2

I recently got back from a 2-week program at USC (University of Southern California). While I was there, I tried to record as many headphone sightings as I could. Here goes:   At the airport (departure): 1 white ATH-M50 1 unidentified   On the plane: 1 Bose QuietComfort 15 1...

Headphones you regretted buying the most

None other than the well-known ATH-M50. Here's why:   1. I find them far too uncomfortable. I even ordered new pads because I thought that was the problem, but apparently not. I stretched them for days and it seems that nothing has helped. There's always an unpleasant pressure near the...

    Comfortable and Isolating headphone for 150USD -- SRH840, M50, HM5,etc

If comfort is a top priority, I would scratch the M50 off the list right away. It's a combination of thin headband, tight clamp force, and hot-'n-sweaty pads. Not good. I find the M50 so uncomfortable that I prefer using my meelec M6 IEMs ($20) most of the time.

Help uber appreciated: [JVC Riptidz] vs. [KSC75] vs. [Monoprice 8320] vs [JVC Xplosives] for RUNNING

Quote: That sounds great -- however, my budget is $20 or less so I cannot get the Comply tips.  Bummer! Without the tips, would the 8320s still be worthwhile getting? I hear that there are comfort/fit issues, which could be a problem for running.

    Headphone Sightings 2

Not much of a poster, but here goes: Today my clinical anatomy group (it's a program at Stanford) went over to the robotics lab to test out things like haptic technology. I wasn't expecting it, but one of the guys working there had a nice little rig set up at his desk He had the...

A Beautiful Take on Beautiful Sound - A review of the Audio Technica ATH-M50WH

Regarding the pads -- I'm looking to buy new M50 pads because my current ones have turned stiff/cracked. If I buy them from Amazon, do you think they would be the newer, plusher ones or the older, stiffer ones...
