My experience with the DT 250 velour pads was that they INCREASED low frequencies and dampened high frequencies.  I ended up returning the pads because they were more uncomfortable in size (ear opening) than the stock pads.  People may get different experiences with the frequency response...

The outside diameter of the Beyer pads is larger, but the opening for the ear is SMALLER than the stock SONY.  I just got mine and I am very disappointed as I wanted something with a larger earhole than the stock.  See my post under V6 comfort for more details.

Do the "temporal" pads rest on anyone's head?  There is a gap of about 1/4" between my head and the pads no matter how I adjust the headphones.  I think I have a pretty "normal" shaped head.  It seems to me that the design of the pads is flaky at best.  Comments??
