Agreed. I too only use Tidal (rarely) and Sony Walkman apps. I have not used an email client, browser, ect. I feel the WM1A M2 is as quick as my phone.

Ironically, the play/pause/skip buttons respond to other apps quicker than the Sony Walkman app. Not sure why?

.wav on PC and PCM on WM1AM2. I will probably just try flac instead of .wav on PC. I bet this will solve the issue. It's just that I have 500 GB of music in .wav files on hard drive.

on all my dac's the audio quality from satellite or cable receiver is no where close to the same level as cd or .wav from computer.  They both are 16 bit 44.1k.  So why such a drastic sound difference? thx
