I've had the total bithead for a while now and I love it, but I've got a question. The sound card in my laptop is the one that came with the laptop straight out of the factory. Would there be any benefit in getting a new soundcard or will my total bithead do the job?

I keep reading that SR 80 benefit from the use of an amp, however I don't have an amp as of now, and it will be some time before I get one. So I come to you in search of an answer: do I get the 80s despite not having an amp, or the 60s?

I'm looking at getting the Grado SR80s as a pair dedicated to my rock listening, but I'm hoping to buy them in store if possible. (Mom doesn't want me spending graduation/college money on headphones). So do any stores carry Grados? I live in ATL if that helps somehow.....
