- Currently Own:
- Fostex TH-X00 PH.....good all-around. Nothing stands out but nothing is wrong. I can see many enjoying these for today's pop and hip-hop music
- Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80.....all-around budget good bass, recessed vocals
Past headphones (sorted by likability to value ratio):
- Audio Technica W1000X.....very fun, great mids, poor fitment execution and materials used
- Beyerdynamic T1.....great all-arounders but wish the low end was more forward. Neutralish and very detailed.
- Ultrasone Edition 8 w/ Silver Dragon Cable.....very clear, perfect bass. Need to fiddle around with the fitment for best sound
- Audeze LCD-2.....great all-arounders but too big and heavy. May be the most neutral headphones for me to date but I wanted more low end quantity and a more spacious sound
- Philips X2.....soundstage/presentation is engaging, great all-arounder for bassier cans
- MartinLogan Mikros 90 w/bass mod.....portable fun but too much clamp and uncomfortable fitment. Sound is almost perfect to my likings
- Shure SRH1840.....incredible vocals but needs more treble details and better head support
- Bowers and Wilkins P7.....fun but price to performance ratio isn't the best
- Denon AH-MM400.....good all-arounder, low end quantity takes away from the highs. EQ fixable. Distant sounding and warm
- Fischer Audio FA-002w.....clear, neutral, but lacking deep bass
- AKG K550.....all-around budget, good highs, little bass impact
- Fidue A83.....all-around but funky fitment
- Shure SRH1540.....too bassy but works with some music
- Philips X1.....too bloated but good for movies/games
- HifiMan RE-600.....nothing special
- Audio Technica ATH-M50.....not clear enough
- Beyerdynamic DT 1350.....nothing special but maybe it was due to worn out pads
