1964 Ears
They don't mask the flaws in recordings. Got it. Thanks. I suppose that can be said of most high end customs, but, just to be clear, you wouldn't put these on the soft and warm end of the sound spectrum? Or, perhaps they're just outright cold and analytical?- baxter97

1964 Ears
How do they do with poorly recorded Rock? I heard they can be sibilant at times.- baxter97

Just received my Stax 323S
So, you don't consider STAX to be too revealing to enjoy relatively poorly recorded genres like Rock?- baxter97

The Stax Thread III
Even with an adequate DAC, would the SR-407, for instance, be suitable for Rock recordings, or is it just too resolving, would there be better options? I listen to mostly Rock and Reggae (and some Pop) from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. Thanks.- baxter97

Do the details of the highs suffer from it being under-emphasized compared to the mids and lows, and how does it suit Rock? Thanks.- baxter97

I got one: how would you rate the instrument separation and detail, and if you've had experience with flagship customs, how does it compare?- baxter97

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
You mentioned Steely Dan; can you comment on how they do with Rock? There's already been so much comment on how well-suited they are for Electronic.- baxter97

Fostex TH900 Impressions & Discussion Thread
So, I gather that any suggestion that the TH-900 may be a "repackaged" Denon AH-D7000 because the driver, superficially, resembles that of the Denon is wholly unfounded? The TH-900 is definitely a leap forward?- baxter97

I was thinking of Classic Rock, Van Morrison Live at Montreux 1980, for instance. Good to know, though. Thanks for the impressions.- baxter97

And what about Rock? Does the reportedly "recessed mid-range" of the TH-900 impair its rendering of Rock?- baxter97

1964 EARS V6 Thread
So, how would you compare the two custom ears? Is the V6 superior to the 4.A or just of a different sound character?- baxter97

Tesla T1 Vs. Lcd-2rev2
The T1's can be had at Meier-Audio Corda (authorized dealer) for $995, and on Amazon (often, not always) for between $950 and $999. Amazon sellers labeled "fulfillment by Amazon" are authorized Beyerdynamic dealers. Although, they're less plentiful than the others.- baxter97
