    How do they do with poorly recorded Rock? I heard they can be sibilant at times. 

    So, you don't consider STAX to be too revealing to enjoy relatively poorly recorded genres like Rock? 

    Even with an adequate DAC, would the SR-407, for instance, be suitable for Rock recordings, or is it just too resolving, would there be better options? I listen to mostly Rock and Reggae (and some Pop) from the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's. Thanks. 

      Do the details of the highs suffer from it being under-emphasized compared to the mids and lows, and how does it suit Rock? Thanks.

So, I gather that any suggestion that the TH-900 may be a "repackaged" Denon AH-D7000 because the driver, superficially, resembles that of the Denon is wholly unfounded? The TH-900 is definitely a leap forward?

And what about Rock? Does the reportedly "recessed mid-range" of the TH-900 impair its rendering of Rock? 

So, how would you compare the two custom ears? Is the V6 superior to the 4.A or just of a different sound character?

The T1's can be had at Meier-Audio Corda (authorized dealer) for $995, and on Amazon (often, not always) for between $950 and $999. Amazon sellers labeled "fulfillment by Amazon" are authorized Beyerdynamic dealers. Although, they're less plentiful than the others. 

How much for a pre-assembled unit? Does Bottlehead even offer such a service any longer?
