Thanks - confirmed I have two of the same boards :( back to the local disty I go....

Can anyone who has had both usb boards for the bifrost tell me if there is any physical differences?   I received mine from a local reseller and it looks exactly the same - tested it and no 176.   Cheers Paul

Depending on the board/component layout Schiit could replace the headphone jack with a switching one so that it mutes the line out's when the headphones are plugged in; although this may not appeal to some as it adds more components inline.   My now replaced with a LYR, Maverick audio A1...

Why not split the signal at your dac before the lyr? That way you only turn the lyr on when you want head phones; or you turn on your active speakers\amp.... At least it gets around the not muting business. Paul

Hi all, I'm looking to purchase a bifrost and lyr for my headphones, whole system powered via optical from my Mac. That said at times I do like to use some simple powered speakers for certain things, can I simply plug these into the RCA output of the lyr? Or am I better off putting a RCA...

Can anyone confirm the size of the speaker posts at the back of the A1?   Want to make sure the spades im about to purchase will fit (although I think they are all pretty standard).   Spades suit 5.5mm to 8mm diameter posts.   Cheers Pauk
