    5th gen Ipod sq sadness

http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=6600.0 According to this thread, Rockbox doesn't run on the new 5.5G iPods. So I think you didn't buy a 5.5G but a normal 5G iPod. If you can still give it back, you might buy a real new 5.5G afterwards.

The CX 300 are also available in white color now.

How much money have you spent on headphones in total?

I spent 275 € ($355) on several portable headphones. That's way too much, because I don't use most of them anymore after I found out that they pale in comparison to the PX 100 in terms of sound quality and wearing comfort.

Don't forget to tell her that there's also a white version of the PX 100.

Need recommendation for ipod nano phones

I hear a strong hiss with the CX 300 + iPod nano. The PX 100 hiss is negligible. There's also a white version of the PX 100.

    Sennheiser OMX 52 recommendable?

What do you think about the Sennheiser OMX 52? Are they worth a purchase? At home, I'm listening to the PX 100, but for outdoor use I need smaller headphones that I can easily carry in a close Jeans pocket. The included bag looks protective enough. I just wonder if these headphones' sound...

    Sennheiser px-100 or cx-300

I have both headphones. It's true, the CX 300 has a strong hiss that's especially noticeable and disturbing when it comes to quiet sound passages. Generally I pay attention to listen at safe volume levels. But that hiss works against this. I know that hiss is caused by the source, but my MP3...

Other ear-fit rings compatible with CX 300?

Thanks for the replies so far. But what about the comfort? Are there any rings that offer alot more comfort (e.g. that are softer) than the CX 300 rings? The medium sized ones are definitely too big, because I have the feeling they strangulate my blood-vessels after having worn them for a while.

Sennheiser CX 300 IEM (a personal review)

And I'd like to know if there are any compatible ear-fit rings from other manufacturers than Sennheiser. The small ring is too tiny for my ears, but the medium one is too big and causes discomfort. Does anyone know if there's a possibilty to use more comfortable, perhaps softer ear-fit rings...

Other ear-fit rings compatible with CX 300?

The problem with my Sennheiser CX 300 is that the smallest ear-fit rings are too small to get a decent fit with and the medium rings are too big for my ear canals. Does anybody know if other manufacturers offer rings that are compatible with the CX 300 and more comfortable?

Finally got me some CX300 - appreciation

I went to a hi-fi store and asked the shopkeeper if there would be a solution for my CX 300 hiss. He negated and told me that hiss is caused by the source, not the headphones. So far so bad. Because I read about impedances here, I asked if there is an impedance adapter or something like that I...

cx300 awesome bass just like dt770

I'm suprised at how many people have much bass with the CX 300. My pair sounds pretty thin and has harsh highs when I turn up the sound to get at least a little bass (probably unsafe levels). And there's a bad hiss with these headphones.

Finally got me some CX300 - appreciation

Hi! I think they are reasonably priced almost all over the world, except in Germany. It's somewhat ridiculous.

    AKG K 26 P: Sound not centered

Thanks for the Audacity hint. So far it seems I have a hearing imbalance that I didn't notice before with open headphones. Under these circumstances it's difficult to be sure, but my pair of AKG K 26 P's is probably quite balanced. I wonder if the imbalance will go away after some time if I...

    AKG K 26 P: Sound not centered

In the meanwhile I'm not sure if it's the headphones, my ears, or both of them. Does anybody know how to easily test a headphone for centered sound? Well, it's just an idea, but probably the best thing would be a test sound which is definitely known to be centered. I did a longer search with...
