Right out of the box the 880s hooked up to a frequency generator easily manages 20hz to 18Khz (my hearing does not go above). At very high volume and on bass heavy tracks they literally jump on my head. Those can's are everything but boring. I'm using original cd's , .flac and .wav only ...

cool it guys... Don't forget the frenchman is new to HiFi hobby. It's the first good Hp's he has and he is probably discovering that a good headphone with crappy source will result in crap coming out of them. Ask him the right questions first before advising him to spend even more money ...

You're all talking about lack of warmth , i'm talking about lack of bass, my burnt-in K701 hooked up to a Yulong DAh1 + frequency generator could not go under 30Hz ... 10Hz-39.8kHz frequency response is pure bs ..

yes, i know they cost both 211€ on thomann. Tough choice my friend.. How many hours a day do you want to use it ? I used both cans on a regular basis for music, movies and gaming. I am a no-life PC geek so i pratically lived with those headphones on my head for 2 years. I have a big head...

oh forgot to mention that the K701 can really hurt the top your head because of the bumps they added underneath the headband, But that's only after 3 hours of wearing them..

Of course the 250 Ohms are enough and they will satisfy you , i don't know what kind of headphones you have right now but i'm sure it will be a giant step forward. I haven't tested the 600ohms yet but since a lot of people here tested both and say that 600Ohms is better, that's the way it is.
