Gaming with a USB DAC and mic

Hmm. Unfortunately with software that is almost impossible. I am a gamer as well, and for gaming I use a pair of Turtlebeach p11s. They are not that expensive, and they have that feature. I am, however, not recommending this headset, because they sound terrible, feel cheap and are not that...

I was bored, so I drew up a quick diagram to maybe help you understand:

What sort of latency are you looking to achieve? I know that Windows mic monitoring has about a half second delay, is this what you want?

Questions about the best solution for PC gaming and Music listenning (sound card, amp/dac, dont want plug&unplug headphone, and keep EAX/CMSS-3D)

Hardware is only as good as the software that runs it. That being said, having good software with a cheap card is better that an expensive card with bad software. For me, and maybe not for you, I can use my on board sound card (built-in to the mobo) using Linux (ALSA) and a good music player...

    Post pics of your builds....

Thanks, I got some advice from a family member and as it turns out I was doing it almost all wrong. I'm surprised the thing even worked after watching that. Oh well, glad I learned something!

    Post pics of your builds....

My first EVER project requiring a soldiering iron: a very ugly mono LM386 pocket amp. Im proud, but also humbled by some of the stuff you other guys make.

I want my headphones to light up! Help me!!

What you could do is have a single LED on both sides, which illuminates the inside of the entire cup. Then cut a ring on the side of the cup, with spokes connecting it to the rest of the headphones, like a stencil "0/o". After this you would put frosted/finely sanded plexiglass underneath the...

    WORST headphone you ever heard?

1971 Realistic Nova 30's. Everything sounded mediocre, except for the bass, which was muffled and horrible. This alone did not make these that bad, but whenever you had audio with both bass AND treble/midrange the rest of the sound became terribly quiet. It was like someone had control over a...

It certainly was. It was also a huge learning experience, as I have never made a piece of audio equipment before.

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)

My extraordinarily cheap portable rig. A pair of Senn. HD 205's, a hand-me-down Galaxy S4 with a cracked screen and a $7 amp made from parts salvaged from computers and radioshack. pics once I can post them.

Help with understanding driver polarity. (noob questions)

Thanks for the reply, and I have a better understanding of what might have been going wrong, as I ended up re-wiring them in reverse to see what would happen, and it seemed to fix most of my problems. It was probably just a poor job soldering them in place the first time, as I haven't used an...

Help with understanding driver polarity. (noob questions)

Hello! I have recently re-drivered a pair of Realistic Nova 30s. Unfourtunatley the drivers I put in had un-marked terminals. I ended up just soldiering them without checking the polarity, and now there is very little bass performance. My question is, is the lack of bass because I reversed the...
