oh man.... apparently the comments I have seen about clamping force are no joke... hopefully these things loosen up a bit after some use? I am liking the sound but I'm not that pleased with the headvice clamping force.

So inadvertent portable CD player Shootout occurred... I have a Sony D-2 (japan 1988 (i think the last number of the year is illegible)... and a 1993 Panasonic SL-S150... well perhaps a not surprising verdict is the D-2 > D131 > SL-S150 ... In my listening the D-2 has the best bass response...
