[2021 Update] Venture Electronics (VE) Monk V2, Monk Plus & Monk Go: a $5 earbud that taking the world by storm!!!
I just joined the family! Got my VE monk plus today, didn't even think twice, it's like $8. So far pretty impressed, this is an earbud but it has bass and the details are pretty good. The best thing about this earbud is the fact that it is an earbud, you know how IEM has this seal and it's...- arcwindz

Creative Sound Blaster X7 - Detailed Review & Impressions
Anyone got an idea on mic volume of x7? I am talking about both the built in and the input on the front, it's so very tiny. The mic boost option on the sb control panel is greyed out and the same happened in windows audio setting (mic boost option ticked, but no slider whatsoever)- arcwindz

Creative Sound Blaster X7 - Detailed Review & Impressions
That's static noise, common occurence for any analog audio circuit that runs near electric component. Static noise is one of the reasons why people prefer external sound card, so yes, x7 will get rid of that sound.- arcwindz

Philips Fidelio X2?!
The one best way to know it is to audition it yourself, you'll be most happy with the sound that way Lcd 2 is very2 expensive (at least in my country), and some people do think that the extra performance does worth the price. It is getting more subjective the nearer you're to the summit- arcwindz

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I believe it's not clamping problem that you are annoyed by? If so bending won't help anything Now, i know really well how the weight change from 598 to x2 can be very noticeable, i came from 558 myself. But honestly, that's just the way it is. X2 is considered pretty light, most high end...- arcwindz

Philips Fidelio X2?!
I think it's you who hasn't read enough review lol, x2 is bassy but it's not closed can level, and if you want the best bass, only planar magnetic can deliver that. A lot of reviews touch on this subject, but this hobby is pretty subjective, so it might be your taste.- arcwindz

No way lol, you'll notice it after sometime with x2, i also came from 558 and after X2 most open headphones will sound thin in comparison But if you expect some hard hitting bass you should not be looking at open headphone in the first place, go closed or semi open- arcwindz

Philips Fidelio X2?!
If you want the best sound stage/positioning (especially for competitive gaming) go for audio technica ath ad700, akg k702, or senheisser hd800. X2 can not beat those in terms of staging. If want some fun more immersive experience X2 is good- arcwindz

I also came from hd558, and i have to agree that x2 is like the better version of hd558 Well, i need to burn about 20 hours-ish before the sound kinda "break-in", you might consider that. Also stx has high output impedance, afaik that will affect the bass. Regarding channel imbalance...- arcwindz

I'd take daemon advice for the itchy pad problem, just to make sure you get rid of any excess chemicals on the pad and soften it. Most of us doesn't have problem though, so it might be your skin- arcwindz

Wow, some professionals need to take measurement for the old and new one. This kind of discrepancy is really bad for business (the second hand woox pair will shot up though!)- arcwindz
