step down transformers can convert 220/230v to 110/120v but the frequency of the ac is not altered...for example in india, power supply is 230v/50hz whereas its 60hz in the US...will the frequency of the ac signal affect the amplifier performance... this should be good...- Aravind

since the hifim8 is being brought out as a portable dac/amp solution, it would have been nice if there was a 3.5 mm input for non-apple/usb capable portable sources like the clips and cowons...is there a reason why it was omitted?- Aravind

Lcd2.2 is aggressive in mids or treble? Can you post more detailed impressions of your comparison between the lcd2.2 &he400.. Hi Fried, I have a question about g109. The specs for the 'P' version says 'outputs with relais controlled switch-on delay' which is not there in the 'S' version specs. Can you explain what that means.- Aravind
