FiiO X7 Mk II 2GB RAM + 64GB ROM + ESS9028 PRO + Balanced + DSD + BT 4.1 aptX + Dual mSD + Dual Band WiFi + Opt Out
I used to own most of FiiO players they launched (including X5III) and now I have X7II. I sold them all but X7II which I guess will not stay with me for a long time. I know it is a question of taste, and those are supposedly not to be discussed, but I do find the interface tacky and the screen...- angstromer

DX90. 2X Sabre,1st page: Downloads, info&inst. . ! Lurker0 FW Mod link 1st page !!. .NEW FW! 2.3.0 . . . . .
Thx mate. I was a bit worried about the highs as DX50 makes them harsh on a lot of recordings. Ordered DX90 anyway so I will have a chance to check and compare the two next week. But I guess an amp will be a must for this setup. For the price you have in the US Vali seems like a reasonable...- angstromer

DX90. 2X Sabre,1st page: Downloads, info&inst. . ! Lurker0 FW Mod link 1st page !!. .NEW FW! 2.3.0 . . . . .
No need to scold or get testy. Oh, but I did search. No returns on Q701 or K701 so far. You do realize they are different from the HP you are talking about as the impedance is low but sensitivity is the issue here. This is the reason I asked about people's experiences with those two HP and not...- angstromer

Hi, got a question to all of you lucky dx90 owners. How does it drive more challenging phones, like Q701 or K701 unamped?- angstromer

Sansa Clip+ and Shure SE530 = good choice?
First of all - with all due respect - to the best of my knowledge Clip+ has no LOD capacity. Secondly, it does play well with my Shure SE535, just well. Clip+ will be the weak link but not a bad choice on the whole.- angstromer

Shure SE535 - question to the owners
Just a little update. Shure (Mr. Juergen) got back to me saying that I should send the IEM's back to the Polish rep and they will send me a new pair. I had just made a note of the number to make sure that I would have it tomorrow at work with me when I got another email from a Polish rep...- angstromer

Shure SE535 - question to the owners
Quote: Much easier. Complies work like a charm. All you have to do is twist them gently and they will slide off with no unnecessary hassle whatsoever. Besides you don't get any wax in the earpieces as they are blocked in Tx's. Thanks for the freezer solution - that is how I was...- angstromer

Shure SE535 - question to the owners
Thanks a lot. They are definitely not cracked. It does seem like a connection between two pieces of plastic has been made in a way that is not exactly state of the art. My concern is that these are the places where the construction is potentially weaker which in with time may lead to the...- angstromer

Shure SE535 - question to the owners
Both. The upper pic is the right, the lower the left earpiece. I would think the plastic is too hard to be scratch by my feeble nails, but who knows? The right looks a bit worse.- angstromer

Shure SE535 - question to the owners
Hi guys. Could anyone, please who owns Shures SE535 check for signs of anything like the stuff in the pictures (see the photos). It seems to me that some plastic on the nozzle has been scratched a bit. Now I am wondering whether I have done it myself trying to remove those blimey foams with my...- angstromer

DBA-02 Availability
Quote: Wrote the Russian website mentioned by Beekeeper a couple of posts ago. What is so smart about NOT actually selling the IEM's as they are never in stock? Thanks for the advice. Need something with a lot of detail and and great soundstage (like a combination of IE8 and q-Jays...- angstromer
