$200-$250 Upgrade to MS-1s
I have looked at the Compass and I may actually go with it although not sure if I want to pay the extra $100. Also I was wondering what people thought of the K601s. They look like they'd suit me pretty well. I don't think I'll get Beyerdynamics though, I don't know but they just don't feel...- andrus

Review: ZERO 24 BIT/192KHz DAC/Headphone Amp/Pre-Amp
I'm looking for a cheap source set-up (still using onboard/Zune unamped for Alessandro MS-1 and Denon C551). I don't really have a set budget but I'd like to keep it as low as possible while still getting a great value. Would the ZERO be the best solution for me? I would use it as both a DAC and...- andrus

Alessandro MS-1 Repair
My MS-1's developed a grattle or other buzzing noise and the common remedies don't seem to be fixing it. I've contacted Grado and they say they'll fix them for $30. Would this the best thing for me to do? I don't mind paying the fee too much but waiting 2 weeks + shipping makes me . Or is it...- andrus

Best budget source set-up
I am currently still using onboard for my MS-1's (yeah I know ) and I'm looking to finally upgrade my source. I was going to buy a Xonar DX/D1 and maybe build a cmoy amp (if only for the actual building of it, sounds fun ) but it seems most people around here use USB DACs? Or are these only for...- andrus

Can't fix grattle
I've tried gently sucking and playing them very loud for a while, neither has worked (although maybe I need to play them louder or for a longer period of time, how loud/long should I do it?). Anything else I can do? I have MS-1's, if relevant.- andrus

Sound card for my Alessandro MS1
I've been using my MS1s with onboard sound for a while now and I think it's time for an upgrade. I'm not quite sure how much I want to spend but I'd say somewhere around $100, and I may buy used. Right now, I'm looking at M-Audio Revolution 5.1 and the Auzentech Prelude although I'm not sure I...- andrus

Best $50-100 IEMs
I think I am now going to get the Denon C551's. They look like they'll be really nice for $65. They are durable though right? I see that everyone says they are well-built but will the wire be able to take some heat? This is important esp. after having my Vibes break on me 2 times in a period of...- andrus

Best $50-100 IEMs
I think I'm going to go for the UEs, just have a few questions.. Is it really worth it to step up from the 3 to 5 series? And if I get the 5 series, is the extra bass version alright for rock music because it's $150 while the normal one is $200. Also do you have to wear them with the wire around...- andrus

Best $50-100 IEMs
I'm for some new IEMs to replace my V-Moda Vibes. I only use these when I go out so they need to sound good without amplification (source is my Zune and soon an iPhone) and I listen mostly to classic rock, acoustic and some hard rock. What do you think would suit me best? Also I can go past $100...- andrus

Vibration sound in my MS-1's
I've had my MS-1's for a few months now and recently, in the left headphone, I've noticed a slight vibration noise that's more apparent on some songs then others.. It's really pissing me off , is there anything I can do to get rid of it?- andrus
