umm. the first time i sent mine to grado also. there's an old thread i made when those broke and i basically did what they told me to do. if you search for it i'm sure you'll find it. i think it took a month for mine to come back.

listen to them some more. i have some and didn't like their recessed/muddy qualities. now, i like them a lot. i have "adjusted" to their sound.

well. i love my ms1s, so i'd say get them. i listen to an eclectic mix of music. i like elliott smith toooo!

try some new tips. i find that they make almost as big a difference as eq'ing.

wow. very nice first purchase. i dont have the erhmms to spend that much cash on headphones yet. you are super hardcore. anyway, you should really look for the e500s cheaper than 500. i've seen them for way less. have fun with your purchase
