Just picked up a pair of the SRH840 closeouts... looking forward to comparing with my ATH-M50S LE

I disagree with the soundstage comment. I think these have a great soundstage and the highs aren't tinny... however, the lack of mids does bother me and I'm not a big fan of the amount of bass either. I prefer less bass and more analytic/neutral sound.

I do find the ATH-M50S LE to be nice cans but I definitely wouldn't consider them the best things ever. I've owned a pair of Sennheiser HD 439, HD280Pros, and SRH440s and I'll say I like bits and pieces of all of those cans.   Example: The HD 439 were by far the most comfortable cans with...

I kind of have a slight balance issue with mine too where the left sounds a bit louder than the right...   After trying out Shure 440, Sennheiser HD439, Sennheiser HD 280 Pros... I will say the sound of the ATH M50S LE is ... quite good.

Both 2 of mine have had issues now and Earphone Solutions has been kind enough to refund my shipping... I've decided to just return the SE215 outright and buy the Westone 3. I can't stand these replacable snappy cables. They're awful.

To all the Shure SE215 owners -   Have any of you had issues with the Shure SE215 where the audio cuts out with the cables in and turned at a certain angle? I'm on my second pair now and the issues have persisted due to the cable itself more than the IEM. I've tried swapping the left cable...
