Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Brannon: How do you order the Watch parts with either K10s and the Wood face option? or with the Prestige line? You guys have some pictures of it on the website but its not orderable because if you choose watch parts it takes out the wood face option. And there is no option at all for...- allbald

Chord Hugo
Can any you suggest the better speaker cables that fit the Hugo? Thinking of something from Wireworld, Light Harmonic, Nordost, etc? I am getting a Hugo with the new case.- allbald

Quote: I want to emphasize what both of you have suggested here. First without some thoughtful responses, I would never have even looked at the FI-BA-SS. The description you gave helped me to understand that it was the sound I wanted. I have had Ety's, Shures and PFE before this...- allbald

I have had ety's for a long time and this is interesting. However, some others have mentioned the PFs have some horn speaker qualities. If that is the case then I can understand why people might think they sound odd. Those types of speakers create very strong reactions regardless of how...- allbald

Thanks MF. I was really curious about them. Based on my tastes (I tend to like neutral/transparent with as much extension as possible, but still like the wow factor ), I think I will continue to stick to the FI-BA-SS. Actually the whole point would to get a different sound signature to try if...- allbald

Guys -- I already have the FI-BA-SS. Now I am thinking about the Piano Forte X (FI-DC1602SC-C). Can someone tell me about it's sound signature -- why is it more than the FI-BI-SS? I assume it would be warmer, maybe more rolled of treble -- but I am curious how it compares. Either...- allbald

I am actually slightly surprised how they make bad recordings sound good. So I have a fair amount of old pop - I was listening to an old Olivia Newton John song (don't laugh) - Xanadu - pretty much a crap recording. These made it sound good and not only that it keeps surprising me (in a good...- allbald

Quote: On the FI-BA-SS, I am surprised by how recordings that probably sibilant sound ok. And things recorded better, the timbre/tone seem right on. Despite what some say, I think it has a bit of a chameleon like character. Not what I was expecting -- I was expecting more harsh but so...- allbald

No you gave a good answer. And I agree I am pretty willing to pay a premium for Japanese workmanship. Hence, why I bought the FI-BA-SS IEMs which are not exactly cheap (and on the lookout for the W3000ANVs). I was trying to figure out if the sonic quality for a $2800 IEM is up there...- allbald

I am very glad I bought them. They are just awesome. Granted my experience in IEMs is limited between ER-4Ps, Shure 435(?) and these FADs. Any suggestions on good/great DACs and amps for these? I was torn between these and the FitEar 334s but didn't want to wait any longer. May...- allbald

I am trying to get a decent price on these in mint condition as I am really intrigued -- anyone have some advice on where to acquire one in mint condition other than new? The list prices for new are all 1400 to 2000.- allbald
