Looking for a cheap amp in order to improve the Cad Audio MH510's
So I have whittle down my choice to either the Topping NX1s or the Fiio K1. I like the fact the K1 has no battery, plus it's also a DAC but the NX1s seem to have slightly more positive feed back online, but I'm not sure if that is partly because the K1 is being compared to a higher class of...- Agent Cooper

Looking for a cheap amp in order to improve the Cad Audio MH510's
Last year I picked up a pair of the Cad Audio MH510 but was very underwhelmed by their sound, even compared to my old Monoprice 8323's. I was considering getting a new set of headphones but an user on here was in the exact same position as me but found the Cad Audio's were greatly improved with...- Agent Cooper

Headphone (Budget) recommendations?
Sorry for the bump I meant to give my impressions of the Cad Audio Sessions a lot sooner but I was ill for a few weeks and only started using them extensively over the last few days. Firstly, I'm really happy with the build quality and comfort levels, the longest I have worn them was the...- Agent Cooper

Headphone (Budget) recommendations?
My pair won't arrive until Tuesday or Wednesday, so I'm a bit worry now after reading your experiences Dkline. One of the things that drew me to them was that they look quite comfortable, which would make a welcome change from the monoprice 8323's, I especially like the fact they came with...- Agent Cooper

Headphone (Budget) recommendations?
Sound like we are similar situations (see the thread I made yesterday). As I said in that thread I ended up ordering the Cad Audio MH510's which I got for around $50 on amazon UK, they were the last in stock though and the other colours were nearly twice the price. Looking at amazon.com it...- Agent Cooper

Monoprice or Superlux
So in the end I ordered a set of the CAD Audio MH510's, hadn't notice them on sale beforehand. They look comfy, with decent build quality and the reviews I read are pretty positive, got them for €15 cheaper than the 685's too. Hope I haven't made a mistake.- Agent Cooper

Monoprice or Superlux
I have a nasty habit of breaking headphone cables, plus I have a dog who has chewed through a couple of usb cables in the past, so I probably need the extra protection of a removable cable! Thanks of the info regarding the tekstar's, think I will rule them out, will go for the 685's or the A1's...- Agent Cooper

Monoprice or Superlux
Even Philips? To be honest, I had never heard of Superlux or Takstar until a couple of days ago, but from reading reviews and threads on here it's clear they have a great reputation but I would have thought the Philips should be able to match them, at least given the fact the A1's usually retail...- Agent Cooper

Monoprice or Superlux
Yeah build quality and comfort isn't great but I can't complain about getting two years out of them given the price I paid. I was edging towards the 685's but have had my head turn by the Philips A1 pro's, which I can get for under €50. They are on ear rather than over ear which is making me...- Agent Cooper

Monoprice or Superlux
Hi folks, My Monoprice 8323's broke yesterday after two years of constant use, so I'm in the market for a budget set of cans. My requirements are the headphones must be closed and have a detachable cable, after doing some research I have limited my choice between three pairs, - Monoprice...- Agent Cooper

New Member Introductions thread
Hello, I'm not an audiophile but have found this site very useful at times over the years, I finally joined in order to to get some advice about which set of headphones I should go for next. Since I'm sorely lacking in expertise when it comes to audio equipment I can't contribute much to the...- Agent Cooper
