    cadas rca jack

This is likely a very silly question, but how do I terminate the ground wire on this Cardas female rca jack? Am I supposed to have some other part that helps me do this? Or is meant to be ground to chassis? Cardas Audio

    Anyone here into bicycles?

Just thought I'd through a pic of my bike up here. It now has a different fork and front wheel, but you get the idea. This was my dream hardtail a long time coming.

    Ontario Meet - July 7th, 2007

I know of one just off of Queen right downtown that has a decent amount of used classical vinyl (I'm not an aficionado, so I can't say if it's a "big" or a "good" collection). I forget the name of it though. There's another one right on queen a block away that has a bit of everything. should be...

    What happened to Grunge?

For those who enjoy the history of music (I think all the posters in this thread do by the looks of things), I recommend listening to the History of New Music series. It's a syndicated radio show in Canada, produced in Toronto. Particular relevance to this thread are shows about Alice in Chains...

    Ontario Meet - July 7th, 2007

I have a rotel phono stage that I can bring. If I ever get it done, I'm building a Pass Labs Pearl...one channel is currently in testing phase (first one blew up by "accident"...hehehe). I'm glad you've offered to bring your turntable as I was considering bringing my P3, but I'd rather not...

    Ontario Meet - July 7th, 2007

I think I might be able to make this meet my first Head-fi meet (depends on work schedule, but so far looks good). I'd likely bring my HF-1's, MPX3 SE, and Samsung HD841 player. -Scott

SDS, Supra, MPX tuberolling, the new global, improved thread

I have HF-1's with my MPX3 SE, and if I didn't have the option of running 6BL7/6BX7's, I would likely get some 5687 adaptors and run them in the output with a 6SN7 in the input. I find that I like the 5687's better than the 6BL7's at lower voltage. Since you have several 6SN7's to try, I would...

SDS, Supra, MPX tuberolling, the new global, improved thread

I don't think there's a "stock" MPX3 SLAM SE. I think it was a model name coined by head-fi'ers. I believe Earl's SE has both a bias switch and voltage switch, where as my new one, only has a voltage switch. And of course you can get whatever options you want. I think the first few SLAM SE's had...

SDS, Supra, MPX tuberolling, the new global, improved thread

I don't have a bias adjust switch. I asked about that before I ordered my amp, and my understanding is that it auto-biases (or at the very least, I think it adjusts the bias along with the plate voltage). Can anyone confirm this? I'm curious to try some other 6SN7's (particularly the...

SDS, Supra, MPX tuberolling, the new global, improved thread

I'd like to get people's input on which tubes to try next. I just got my MPX3 with High voltage switch and these are the tubes I got with it: 1x 7n7 Tall bottle 1x EH 6SN7 2x 6bl7gta 2x Tung-sol 5687 So far, I like the 7n7 with 6bl7gta's the best. I find that in the normal "low...

SDS, Supra, MPX tuberolling, the new global, improved thread

We haven't had any photos in this thread for a long time, so I thought I'd just throw a photo up of my new amp! Running 6SN7EH in the gain position with 5687's in the output positions.

    Team Single Power Assemble!

yeah...dhl wouldn't be my first choice, but I've never had a problem with them, even when shipping only within north america. I guess Singlepower has their reasons!

    Team Single Power Assemble!

I'd just like to add that I'm a member of the Team now too! I've been planning mine since April. Went from wanting a PPX3, to PPX3-slam, to MPX3, to MPX3 SLAM SE with modifications for use as a high end preamp! I placed the actual order early September and sent full payment then, and I just got...
