My only nitpicks so far is that the fuzzy pads can cause me to itch the side of my head but hopefully that'll be reduced through normal wear and the adjustable headband doesn't seem to have much tension on it so the earcups will slowly drop and land on the top of my ears so I re-adjust them a lot.

Thanks for the help! If I do decide to get them I'll definitely get the DT770 Pro pads with them if it makes them sound similar, I did try the pleathers for the DT990 and it just completely muddied up the sound.

I've been looking at these for the past couple of days and I'm really liking the sound of the detachable cable, I'm currently using the DT 990 Pros 250 with the velvet pads, how would these compare? And would the velvet pads be any good on the COPs because I'm not a fan of pleather at all... cheers!

Wow that's lucky, I probably won't get as lucky as you though lol. And I will definitely have a look at those Opamps when I eveeeeentually get the card :D  

I looked into the Titanium HD a while ago and I do want one so I'll put it on my upgrade list :D And yeah I use the Mixamp for consoles so I'd like to keep it, I'll try altering some settings in the Asus control panel and see if that makes a difference in quality, cheers man!  

Well I have an Asus Xonar D2X which I've had for years now and I tried using that instead of my Mixamp but I didn't notice much of a difference to be honest and I wasn't keen on the headphone option it has, sounds kind of weird so that's why I just leave it plugged into the Mixamp :) But I think...
