Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
Well, crap. I forgot to turn on/charge my KSE1500 for a while. It won't charge now. Anyone knows if battery replacement is possible or am I doomed?- acrox999

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
Just found out recently that all you need is just the Magisk app from GitHub (official), patch the boot.img file kindly provided by XVortex here (from the stock firmware zip) and you're good to go. It's so simple. Thank you. Really amazing work here. I haven't used my DP-X1 for years since I...- acrox999

GoVibe Porta Tube+ valve headphone amp/USB DAC in review - beautiful in blue
Definitely a hidden gem. While it may be a little sibilant (only noticeable at high volume), I like it a lot. Some amps make the sound kind of piercing my ears. This doesn't. I don't know if you still have this, but I do. And I just turned it on since 2012.- acrox999

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
Well, you can't really argue over personal, subjective opinions. Anyway, I'm looking for some cheap velour pads for Ether Flow. Anyone found any or are there any other model's pads that fit the Ether Flow perfectly? I say cheap because I don't particularly care about how they alter the sound, I...- acrox999

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
I've always thought that I either had a defective unit for all these years (left side volume is low compared to the right) or heck, even a defective left ear even though I usually listen at safe volumes. It turns out that I just need to rotate the left earpad until I get that (almost) perfectly...- acrox999

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
That makes sense. I guess it's like bringing your monitors to a new room, then having to do treatment and fine-tuning of the room.- acrox999

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
It would be wonderful indeed. I don't know the differences between the two on the inside but since the back cover can be pulled off very easily (not sure if that's normal), perhaps a simple conversion by merely swappung the back cover would do it? Maybe not, maybe it'll destroy the sound but I...- acrox999

MrSpeakers ETHER Flow and ETHER C Flow -- Inspired by Electrostatic Headphones
Hi all, I'm wondering if anybody has attempted to convert the Ether Flow from open-backed to close-backed? Or is there a conversion kit lying around somewhere? I'm quite curious how it'd sound like and I don't feel like buying another pair anytime soon.- acrox999

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
I really do need to pair them again and give them a good listen. I really like the Black filters but I recently switched to the Blues again. I'm waiting for my 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable that I ordered to be done so that I can pair it up again with the Hugo.- acrox999

Shure SE846 Impressions Thread
To me Hugo sounds quite harsh but that is only from a very short listening session when the SE846 was just bought. I only listened to it with the Hugo for a little while last year. Recently I just changed to balanced cables and found out that the Hugo does not have balanced output. Lol, I guess...- acrox999

ONKYO DP-X1 | Dual Sabre Dacs | Balanced | Sabre BTL Amp | MQA | DSD 256 | Android 5 |
He. :) Indeed, it is too bright for me. I wish in the next update they could make it go lower. True, there are some Android devices that can have really amazing battery life. My smartphone used to be able to get 8-9 hours of screen on time, which is already Godlike during its KitKat days. As...- acrox999

Honestly, you cannot expect a really good battery life from any Android devices. Ever. But well, as for me, my Onkyo is able to hold on for maybe at most 2 days listening to music WITHOUT the screen being turned on too much. I noticed that the screen often is the culprit for draining the battery.- acrox999

Yes, exactly. I wanted to state that it doesn't matter at all whether it's a high end device or not but I forgot. lol- acrox999
