Do the 650's have the same cable intermittancy problems of the 580's and the 600's?

zeplin the hd580/600 intermittancy problem is well known and is a common occurance. If you do a search for it on this site you will see how common it is.

I had the same thing with my HD580's but there was no hair present. I sent them into sennheiser service department saying that they needed a new right driver and the service slip said they installed a new "cell" I don't know if this is a new driver or not but the problem disappeared.

Does a homemade amp remove any and all of the noise from whatever source is inputted to it? My creek obh-11 which I connect to my computer (and to a cd player) does this. Will a homemade amp off battery power do the same thing?

In terms of build quality these cans are extremely worth it compared to say a hd580/600. However when it comes to sound quality I would go for the hd600 every time.

After listening to my HD580's through an amp for about a year i have to say an AMP makes a huge difference. However don't let this stop you from buying great phones, just make sure a headphone amp is in your future.
