    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

Yeah, I did that to a pair way back when... This is actually the second pair. What I ended up doing was pulling out the strain relief and resoldering where the break was without opening the casing. It's all nice and heat-shrinked, but now I'm trying how to replace the strain relief...

    VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread

I've been inactive for a couple years because I was satisfied with my GR07s, but now the left earbud is starting to give out. Definitely a cable issue. Has this been a problem for anyone? Is there any recourse? The price is now like half of what I originally paid so I won't be heartbroken if I...

Quote: Maybe check ljokerl's review thread for more bassy IEMs, but I think he mentions the idAmerica Spark, Soundmagic E10, DUNU Trident, and MEE SP51 as decent choices. All are on Amazon.

Quote: Are those separate questions? Some of the higher-end Sony Monitor IEMs like the EX600 or EX1000s have pretty good reputations around here, and tend to have a neutral-ish sound. They have some bassy IEMs that are somewhat less well-regarded. As far as bassy goes, a common...

Quote: Probably, but they won't absolutely require it. The E10 would be a good investment, though, if you want to upgrade.

Quote: Best Buy has a pretty limited selection, and the stuff they have can generally be found for cheaper online. i.e. they have some Turbine stuff, UEs, and the S4, but not a whole lot else.

Quote: Are you talking IEMs or earbuds? Not totally sure from your description. Also, it would be a little easier if you set a hard number limit for perspective.

Quote: IME, the upper/midbass give it punch, but the rumble and body is in the subbass, which makes it boomy.

Quote: I'd say go for the FXT90s, because I don't think the RE262 sound sig really fits with your preferred genres of music. As far as amps go, I'm not too well-versed, but the ZO, E11, JDS Labs CMoy, and iBasso D-Zero are all popular.   Quote: If you're looking for...

IMO they have significantly more subbass than a normal v-curve, which is what makes them sound a little boomy. Works for some genres, not so much for others.
