    Just completed my amp; BUT....

you definetly need to add some type of regulation if you want to avoid hum. the transformer is a bit too close but i think it shouldn't be a problem. Anyways you could try with the toroid offboard just in case.

    DIY RCA cable exploded!?

I remeber a season of the simpsons were almost everything exploded... ... if its a cheapo iron there's a possibility that you made a short circuit somehow, thus forming an electrical arc. Or maybe there were powdered alumminum leftovers from fabrication in the cable that vaporized..... But I...

    My New AD8066 Amp

Finally!, after a long time I had the time to finish my AD8066 based amp, and I have to say, I LOVE IT!. The main problem was that the first prototypes tended to oscillate due to layout problems and the fast and power eating nature of the AD8066. The second problem was that I really wanted...

    my AD8066 Cmoy pcb

updated my pcb/schematics to reflect the suggestions made. i also added a simple wallpower/nimh charger section. *input caps are optional, and i will jumper them if i dont need them. im still wondering if there would be any improvement if i lower the gain to, maybe, 8 or 6 ?.
