Because of this socket shape you need to look for special / custom made cable only
Custom cable for Denon MM400 from China, very good quality, improved sound
These speakers are all i need for middle size room... was considering a subwoofer but not any more
Proper motherboard, good amplifier and Denon headphones make the listening sessions a real pleasure

Denon D600 are very comfortable due to their soft padding
@cjbsat - best to ask around the "post your Grado Mods" thread - https://www.head-fi.org/threads/post-your-grado-mods.119314/
although, there won't be anyone telling you which one is 'best' or 'worst'... it's mostly small subjective differences really.
@Silvian - only the really naughty headphones that deserved it. (a lot of terrible cheap chinese headsets were ritually sacrificed)
If I was intending to build from nothing a pair of "grados" as such by buying the woods buying the head band etc cables and stuff where and who is the best for the driver or Is the make grado use the best. As I've seen nhoord red drivers and wondered if anyone has tried them
No idea why the face got so big!
"Very few headphones were harmed in the making of this album."
So there were a few
That's dedication man. Admirable.
Find out which of these are the best, read the comparison article: https://www.head-fi.org/f/threads/denon-d600-vs-denon-mm400-vs-denon-hp800.856127/#post-13617361
@cjbsat - I'd say less than 5% of these are parts.
Most are safely back inside their headphones, and any drivers that are not fully exposed or covered by a grill or acoustic-lens are photographed as such because I only perform non-destructive disassemblies and therefore seldom brute-force my way to the 'good bits' if they're held together by glue etc.
Very few headphones were harmed in the making of this album.
Looks like an expensive parts bin to accumulate.
Neutral, clean and without bass quantity. Someone described it as headphone with bass quality over quantity. Not for basshead users.
What are the HD 215s like?
Yeah because I use it at home and for travell use in ear headphones.
This is amazing! Well done.
Love it! Nice set up.
I have also have a pair of Sennheiser HD 380 Pros. They're my travellers. Yours are in better shape than mine!
Most beautiful headphone I ever seen
IanCanada IsolatorPi with MamboBerry LS DAC+ and RPi3.
damn, these pictures seems beautiful!
This needs pasting into 'the creation of adam'
Just clicked on 'Gallery' at the top, and it was literally one scroll-page down... saw the author and photo-count and couldn't resist.
Give this man a cookie.
I thought this Album was lost after the Head-Fi transition, how the hell did you find it?
This is less of an album and more of a "lexicon of a rise to enlightenment".
a little blingy but cool
Wow, that 500 character-limit is so silly, especially on an information-packed audiophile forum. XD
Having gone through or tried so many sets of hp's over the last 2 years, but then finding myself returning time and time again to the MK3's is a testament to their potential.
However, I had owned the Ether C Flow for a few months and could somewhat validate that statement. Even not considering the 10 times cost difference, I feel my MK3 sounded and isolated better.
Totally understand the Mad Dog situation..used to own the Mad Dog Pro and I still regard it highly despite having sacrificed them into Alphas over a year ago. I've seen lots of opinions about how the original Mad Dog 3.2 is regarded as Dan Clark's best work, even compared to his in-house Ether line-up...maybe that is a bit of a stretch.
Why in the world can you only use 500 characters in a comment?!?!
I did love the sound of the modded MKIII, but I still like sound of the mod better on the MKII. They are just getting harder and harder to purchase new these days.
Thanks for the look and I love my MKIIs as much as both my friends love the MKIIIs.
I agree, the case/cable/strap are required to complete this mod
I actually built the two in these photos for a couple of friends that requested them. I personally have two pairs of the MKII. The first one I ever modded and the last one that I modded last week.
