Xbox One Setup

My setup is a Astro Mixamp Pro (came with my Astro A30's) and recently bought the HyperX Cloud II. Optical to Mixamp, then plug my headphones into the amp along with an Astro chat cable to my controller. Sounds superb. Way better than the A30s.

This chat cable (got it from my girlfriends A50's, the stupid chat adapter breaks too much): http://www.astrogaming.com/ag1-cable/3AA99-XOU9X-869.html

I never thought about using a Y splitter, which I will have to try using the toslink of the xbox. Currently, I use a Fidelio X2 and a V Moda boom pro. I thought the sounds was decent when I play games with voice chat. Otherwise, the X2's are connected directly into the receiver.

hey thanks for the reply, Yeh im familiar with the thread but its for pc gaming, do you happen to know if there are any DAC's that have proven to be more "compatible" with the XBOne? i was origonally thinking about getting a mixamp and some sennheiser g4me's but after reading some comments decided to hold off... then i was looking at the hyper x's but i dont know how they would perform with the xbox, it goes on and on... im at the point now where i think i know less than when i started lol

I had success setting up a Turtle Bay DSS2 to my xbox1's TOSlink port. The $40 (CDN; can find it used) DAC/amp mimicked surround sound that is significantly better that headphones connected to the TV or the console's controller (w/ controller stereo adapter). My 2 cents...
