Audiophile friendly phones!

Recently, it appears that they did it again in announcing the Vivo X6 Plus a super phone that uses the high end
ES9028 Sabre DAC,
ES9603 amplifier and
Yamaha YS-205X chip.

They also announced the Vivo X6 which uses the slightly less capable Asahi Kasei AK4375A dedicated DAC.

The Vivo X6 Plus is a 5.7 inch handset with 1080p AMOLED screen. It runs on a 1.7 GHz 64 Bit octa core processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB expandable ROM, 13 MP rear camera, 8 MP selfie camera and 3,000 mAh of battery (4,000 mAh option). This phone is also impressively thin even at a large size at just 6.85 mm.

The Vivo X6 on the other hand features a smaller screen at 5.2 inches with an AMOLED 1080p resolution. Runs on a 1.7 GHz 64 Bit octa core processor, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB of expandable internal storage, 13 MP back camera, 5 MP front facing sensor and 3,000 mAh of battery at just 6.56 mm thin.

Both handsets have LTE connectivity, fingerprint sensor at the back, fast charging tech, available in gold, silver, and rose gold metal chassis and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop w/ Funtouch OS on top.

The Vivo X6 Plus is priced at USD 469 (around 22K Pesos) and the regular X6 has an SRP of USD 390 (around 18.4K Pesos). If you want the 4,000 mAh varaint of the Vivo X6 Plus just add USD 30 to the regular USD 469 value of the handset.

I have it and dont use it. Too bassy sound. Clear sound. Limited soundstage.

"Bassy sound" - i would say it depends rather on headphones... I use B&O BeoPlay H6 - they do not add too much bass, the sound is very balanced. Coz I don't like bassy sound too - I remember Sennheiser IE80 earbuds - it was a nightmare regarding bass...
As to "limited soundstage" - it's pretty relative, good to compare with something. Do you compare it against some other smartphone?

I compared it with my vivo xplay 3s that was more natural, analytical and with much broader soundstage. I got the x6 for sound improvement but it was many steps back from the 3s.
