When I first bought my Crossfade M-100's, I bought the XL Pads too. This was over 2 years ago.

After the 1-year mark, I found myself stuffing the XL Pads with paper towels or ethernet cable wires, to keep the pads from deflating. A year I've been doing that.

A few days ago I bought the It Is replacement pads, they were cheaper than the V-MODA ones. The It Is pads feel a lot nicer, sturdier, and softer compared to the XL-Pads.
thx for the tip. Had XL pads for a couple months and felt like they stopped helping, so went back stock. After reading your post, I cut an Ethernet cable and reinstalled pads. Helped tremendously. Feels much better than previous feel or stock pads that I had actually gotten used to. Looking to possibly get It Is pads and install Ethernet cables as well

Brainwavz HM5 pads are compatible for Vmoda M100?
Which are better, original XL pads or HM5?

Not sure how those would be compatible. Unless you mean sliding them over the pads that ship with the M100, which isn't something I'd ever recommend (they won't stay on doing that). I have the XL pads and they get smashed down so damn fast. My next move is to try the third party pads recommended above.

I'm not searching for standard replacement pads, but for bigger pads to improve comfort.

How long time the original XL pads last before to get deflated?
Are the ITIS pads more big/deep than XL pads?

Original XL Pads lasted 1 whole year before it deflated heavily, and that's with everyday use.

The ITIS pads I believe are the same dimensions as the XL Pads, but the material choices are the main difference.

Is it a much softer feel? The XL pads are a nice improvement over stock pads, but I can't say they're all that comfortable on my ears.

My XL pads felt deflated within 1 month. So much so that I just went back to stock pads. HOWEVER, at the suggestion of another user, I took an Ethernet cable and cut it, to place underneath the pad. This is a perfect solution, as it adds just enough extra clearance and rigidity to the earpads. They actually feel better now than when they were brand new. It's a must do!

Hey Guys i find the v moda xl pads still too small and uncomfy for me and im trying to figure out if one could modify somehow the brainwavz hm5 pads (angled one with leather) to the v modas m100.. I still have the originals which im not using and was thinking if i can somehow take the back of that and attach(glue) it to the brainwavz ? Anyone ever played around with this ?

I actually accidentally ripped a pad off the plate when removing and still have them. I have been pondering to do this, but haven't tried yet. I was thinking of trying some crazy pads like the sony xb1000 (the ones that look like truck tires). I don't see why if you were to glue them on to the disc it wont work, as long as you are still able to fully secure the plate down... Just be wary taking them off and the plate still being on the m100's is very difficult to remove without a pad to grab on too, as I had spent about 20minutes with a flathead (eventually used a eyeglass screwdriver) to get it off.

Edit: Others have 3d printed larger plates that fit on those pads as well.. this is a few years back in the thread though.

DOnt know about the m100 and the tires but i tried 500 tired on the lp2, and though comfy (relative to XL pads) they sounded very poor.

Its possible they sound ok with m100, but just a heads up. The XL pads can stretch out a bit , and when new are firm and ok. I wasn't happy the fatness was gone so quick. One of the reasons i didn't go to m100 after lp2 died. They should have made some sheepskins with slightly bigger hole!
