Check this out. I saw these guys open for Torche and Dredg in Santa Cruz a few years ago. Mind-blowingly good and heavy!

Dude, we're going to convert you to Stoner/Doom yet... :alien:

This was awesome, especially the spacey/trippy parts!

When I started this thread I had exactly one song that one would classify as 'stoner'....Im now up to 153,mostly thanks to you.:beerchug:

That being said,I freely admit that I have separated my 'stoner/doom/occult' tracks from the rest of my metal...Two totally different moods,at least for me.

Wait til you hear the new Elder!

I'll be putting in for the pre-order. AND they're touring with King Buffalo (Orion is an amazing album) in Europe. Hopefully the duo will be together in the U.S. AND Elder is a 4-piece now. I expect great, astonishing things. To me, Elder is Rush for this generation. Hype? You better believe it is!!!

Pre-order is just $10, and they'll ship it the week before release. Their three previous albums plus the Spires Burn EP are also available there. They're label mates with Magic Circle, who I've talked about before. They're much different than Magic Circle, with more stoner psych and prog. Even back in 2012 seeing them live was life changing. They hit the fuzzy sweet spot and massage it with sub-bass tones like no other.

They also did "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" on the Electric Ladyland tribute comp:
