You've got everything rolling, now bring on the DACs.

Whitiger
Nice pic of your amp there! Do you have to bias new tubes?

On the grounded grid ? Nope, all 6ca7 and or el34 have pretty minor differences as I measured, and that it is safe to stay without adjusting anything when tubes rolling. It is safe to stay at 19-20mA on the GG, it will drift, but overall very very stable and very very minor changes

My DAC is LKS 004 which has dual ES9038Pro DAC chips with regulated power supply and discrete class A output stage :)

Transport is WM1z and the dock with Silver-gold USB cables

Roflmao....possibly, but I won't touch it though, I may upgrade soon in the future ...who knows...maybe I am waiting for KG DAC

We all are. In the meantime, the next iteration of the Soekris is interesting.

That is exactly it, very very interesting, it does...(no offenses) make the Yggy shy away by specs on paper :D

Don't talk Schiit about the Yggdrasil, you'll summon wink.

Cory, any thoughts on your end game DAC yet? I see you have the DAVE, MSB V Signature and others.

Save your money. Hoping to get the 1541 to draw my conclusions. Suffice to say, I am really tired of commercial gear all around.

Know what you mean. The 1541 is / was used by Marantz in the CD12, the AMR CD77, some Niam DACs, others popping up. It had a resurgence in the 90s in some top tier DACs. Good luck with your search.

Nope. Got the transport decided. Wrong chip. I'm referring to the Soekris.

Interesting. I wonder if the Soekris can really beat the big boys? I have heard of a few who have built up some souped-up Soekris DIY DAC using that board. No idea how good the finished DAC is. Wonder if it drops the opp amp and has a good PS in it, and if it up samples or not?
