So much for this thread getting spammed. Not many posts! Here's one though.

Wolf People - tagged with hard rock, folk and psych. First saw these guys in 2010 and they amazed me. Ruins is outstanding, though there are only a couple of tracks to stream on BC.

Wolf People, yes! That was my album of the year!

So today Bandcamp is putting 100% of their proceeds to the ACLU. The artists still get their share, but some are opting to also give to ACLU or another charity. I was just about to renew my membership, so this is just a bonus extra.

I'm going to list a few different things.

Fela Kuti!
All of his albums are on Bandcamp. It's a good day to fill in the gaps in your collection, as they are donating 100% proceeds to ACLU. Fela knew a thing or two about fighting for freedom and rights. He was repeatedly beaten and imprisoned by the corrupt military dictatorship in Nigeria throughout the 70s and 80s. They burned his house down. They murdered his mother, Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, a prominent feminist activist in the anti-colonial movement. Yet he never stopped.

Out today, Belgium Ethio-jazz/psych/dub and left coast Kosmische students:

The Resonars are a recent discovery, garage psych/power pop with great vocal harmonies worthy of The Hollies from Tucscon, been around since 1991.
They have their entire discography on cassette (and I presume any download) for $30:

Another Wolf People person (!)

Fela Kuti - great recommendation there, I have a few albums.

...but BC's donation to the ACLU is pretty cool. I think there will be a fair chunk of cash donated. I could watch the "selling right now" ticker tape, as it was hurting my eyes rushing past. Normally you can easily see what's selling. I realised I just bought 17 albums on there :)

Sounds like it was pretty successful, Bandcamp raised over $1 million for ACLU.

Here's another new release from yesterday, Finnish band who have evolved from shoegaze/space rock/Kosmische to full-on psych prog. Additionally, they also made their 2014 album Ujubasajuba Name your Price yesterday, and their first album is free.

Out tomorrow, but just became available now:

Second album from post-punk gospel Algiers is also out tomorrow, but not on Bandcamp. Cool Siouxsie inspired post-punk album from Sweden that came out end of last year but no one knew about it:

Fans of Norwegian band Turbonegro craving more fast, funny, trashy, gay garage punk should like this:
