I've got that Right Angle cable, and its complement, the Left Angle cable [ http://www.ebay.com/itm/301996162871 ] - and I can verify that they do not work "Micro USB output > USB C input" to connect a Nexus 5 phone, rooted and running UAPP, to use the Shanling M2s, M1, or Cayin N3 as a USB DAC. Those cables are only OTG for the "USB C output > Micro USB input" direction.

You can connect it over bluetooth and stream music to M2s. Using M2s as DAC with iOS over cable unfortunately isn't suported.

According to some research reported by posters in various Head-Fi Forum threads - the Shanling M2s, Shanling M1, (and the Cayin N3) only support Bluetooth aptX for Transmitting audio to other devices (Headphones, Speakers, Car Stereos, etc.). The DAPs support Bluetooth SBC when Receiving audio from other devices.

I totally agree mate! Although maybe the secret is there is no secret.
I would love the dac filters implimented, just something else to putz around with a bit. Especially since the EQ dampens the sound.

how about a case designed to carry M2s and Mojo so that no straps are needed anymore. Similar to the AK70/Mojo-case?

Still not possible to buy directly in uk. Even the European sites have at least a two week delay and are quite expensive relatively.

Are Shanling going to attend canjam London? Maybe bring a box of them over to sell at the show!

I have been waiting for weeks for a reliable European site to have it in stock but still no dice.

I was so fed up of waiting that i decided to take any chances on possible custom taxes and ordered one on Aliexpress yesterday.

Might need to do that. Deciding whether it's worth waiting until canjam London to see if there's any more new stuff. Already have the Questyle qp1r which I use at home so want something very portable that is better than the phone. Changer(shanling) has mentioned that they've shipped a consignment to Europe but nothing has popped up. Don't want to end up paying £40 on top just to find it for sale here a few weeks later!

We gonna be there. It seems a good idea. But before then I am sure you can buy directly in UK.

Regarding the strange problem with M2S and Mojo reported by @Deftone , this is first time we hear about this problem. My M2s works with Mojo without any problem, no apparent sub bass boost compared to coaxial input from Shanling M5 or from PC over USB.

Anyone else experienced similar problem?

Im using a rankie branded standard usb c to micro cable and a cheap chinese no branded mini cable usb c to micro otg.

I need to do some more testing tonight to make sure this isnt in my head, iv been listening to mojo almost every day since it came out i think nearly 2 years? So instantly noticed the difference in bass.

Hoping its just my review unit as i love the M2s!
