5h battery, bulky, heavy and only ES9018K2M DAC, how that suppose to be better than x1a?

No, the difference is very little.

I think ill put my DP-X1 up for sale and go for the Granbeat, prob ask around £300 for the player, I do love it and the Dual SD is a bonus, but I need what the Granbeat has! the extra battery life is a bonus for me too and ability to use headphone control.

I really like my DP-X1, but that battery is the worst battery life I've ever experienced on any electrical device, EVER!! And it's not close!!

I get around 12 hours of play and 2 weeks on standby, thats pretty good. You should try the X5iii, thats the worst so far for me. My HM901 has bad battery life to but i knew that going in.

I get decent battery too. However, mostly use it offline. Might be a different story if continually streaming on wifi

Actually I put 2.5 mm port back - applied some epoxy adhesive. It is firm connected now.
The only issue is that I lose a signal in some positions of the 2.5 mm jack while rotating it. Could be a glue on the contact somewhere.

I ran into this issue before I don't think it is glue try to fix it by moving and bending the inside connector toward the center with a thin needle.

I have both and I could live without the LG V20 but still love having the DP-X1. Ive had the DP-X1 longer than any other player Ive had in all the years and many DAPs since I started this expensive hobby.

it seems like it was spotify that was the problem because when playing transferred flac files, they play flawlessly.

Are you connecting at 2.5G or 5G? Streaming has issues at 2.5G, but is crystal clear at 5G.

I ordered a LG V20 yesterday so ill compare and write back here... Going traveling wild camping not just on holiday but as a way of life..so don't want to carry too many devices!

also I noticed that to me Poweramp player sounds better on the player. The other players give a more muddled sound.. The dynamics and speed/attack are a lot more defined using the Poweramp player.
