I just picked up a LCD-3 on the forums and they sound mighty fine with the DAC-10H.

I feel like the 'lowly' Sennheiser HD-555 has woken up a fair amount with the DAC-10H. Never liked them at all with an O2 amp and ODAC but have had them on my head several hours the last few days. Now I'm wondering what the HD-600 and 650 might sound like out of the Nuprime.

I've used for about a year with the DAC-10H my trusted Sennheiser HD-580, which have the same driver as the early HD-600. I understand the driver has undergone some changes in subsequent iterations, though I'm not sure how relevant those were. I doubt we're talking "night and day" situations there. However, since I have not heard them all that is beside the point. The HD-580 sound fantastic with the DAC-10H.

Actually, when I moved over to Focal Elear, I missed my Senns, until the Elears got broken in and I got used to their sound and presentation. At that price point, I doubt you can do any better than a pair of HD-600. Maybe AKG 701/702 is a good alternative, there's quite a few pro equipment sites that price them VERY attractively.

I think it's been out a while, if the same one I downloaded from Nuprime's web site. I use it on a Windows 8.1 desktop. It's the only driver I've used so can't compare to previous versions, but has been very solid. No stability issues at all that I've noticed.

I've been using 6.55 with Win 7 and then with Win 10, never had any issues. I'll update to the 7.1 just because I need to have the latest and greatest in everything

Thanks for the heads-up!

Well, I tried this latest driver, didn't really work for me. I mean the DAC keeps disappearing, Windows can't see it until I restart, sometimes not even after that. Quite a pain in the ass, to be honest, so I rolled back to 6.55, which, fortunately, I had lying about on one of my hard disks, otherwise I would've been in trouble, since you can't download it from the website any longer.

Oh well, I tried...

I don't know, man. You could try, see how it works for you. I don't see how I could do anything wrong, but you never know. Just make sure you have the previous version install pack handy, just in case. If you need it, I could always send it to you.

I know this is a bit of a slow thread these days, but u was wondering if people still have the same thoughts about the DAC10/H?
I would really appreciate an answer from anyone here and especially from @project86 who have also reviewed other kits since.
I have an opportunity to buy one for about half the price and I'm wondering if there's a better option. I do like a neutral signature.
Thanks everyone!
