New ALO balance amp-MKIII at RMAF
May 11, 2012 at 11:50 PM Post #226 of 252
Just placed my order a few minutes ago. I would've placed it sooner, but driving on the highway made that too difficult. Really looking forward to having a listen. Any idea when orders placed today will ship out? Thanks in advance!

In the Tokyo Fujiya Headphone show at the moment & tried out the Rx Mk3, -well- worth the wait!!

Can't write much now as we're still at the show.

No small recommendation that!

We await further impressions...

I am looking forward to hearing some reviews from Tokyo.

Congratulations to Ken and the Alo Team for hanging in there and getting the Mk3 to market. I know that Ken has put in a lot of effort and overcome many hurdles. Kudos!

When will the units begin shipping? ie for those orders placed today when will they ship?

Isn't that  the question; i.e.,  dark, bright, imaging comparison.

My email said 1,000 in stock, interesting.  I think he is thinking high sales volume.

Sound comparisons would be great to read but I would also like to know how the technical specifications also compare. For example the rx3 puts out 640mW whereas the iBasso is 2500mW. I am surprised at such a wide difference. I wonder how that translates into its ability to drive certain cans?

There's been lots of Rx Mk3 pix out already, hope no one has any objections me adding one more :-

I can put up more pix tomorrow/early next week, however I would like to give it an initial few days burn-in and listen before giving first impressions. Look out for this space in a few days.

Congrats Anakchan. Sounds like you are proud owner of an Rx3.

Always happy to see pics and to hear comments relating to the Rx3. That is the primary purpose of this thread. I wish I was in Tokyo.

@monotune has started an Rx Mk3 thread here ( http://www.head-fi.org/t/609931/alo-audio-rxmkiii-balanced-portable-amplifier-impressions ) and I think that's probably the right place to start writing up impressions and reviews now that the Rx Mk3 are in production.
