[Listing] Canadian Companies/Retailers

I don't think you have Brooklyn Audio in Dartmouth, NS listed. In the headphone realm they carry AudioQuest, Grado and Chord among others. I've dealt with Jody a few times over the last little while and he's been fantastic to deal with, highly recommended for those of us in the Maritimes where there are few options.

Any place/one known for doing recabling mods on headphones in Canada? Not really willing to try my self and would rather pay someone to get it done right while avoiding the shipping/exchange for sending them down south.

I believe Paradigm/Anthem/Martin Logan are all under the same parent company now, and manufacturing is done in Canada.

Perhpaps manufacturing is but Shoreview is purely an American company out of Minnesota I believe.

Hmm, I recall meeting up with some reps a couple weeks ago and they had said ML was recently bought by Paradigm (or parent company) which is Canadian.

Paradigm/Anthem was bought out by Shoreview back in 2005. I would be interested to hear about a Canadian company getting them back though.

Well now I'm just not quite sure... words like "corporate recapitalization" don't really mean much to me. Is Paradigm still Canadian then? Are they "owned" by Shoreview, or is it some kind of financial partnership? the way the reps spoke, they made it sound like Paradigm bought Martin Logan, or maybe it's some sort of fuzzy "this company under this name, using finances from this other company under this other name funneled through another country to avoid taxes" thingamabob.

Audioquest! Nice! Might be a source for the new NightOwl.

Shoreview is a capital holding company. They buy out other mid range companies hold them and then usually sell them off at a profit. Aquiring ML would make Paradigm a more attractive prospect so I could see Shoreview giving the go ahead for something like that.

Bottom line is they are all American owned at this point.

It should be, that's where I bought my NightHawk. I try to go through Jody now whenever I can. Absolutely fantastic customer service.

Soundhounds in Victoria carries headphones, also saw some headphone amps.
P9's, Audeze, Audioquest I think Grado still ( pads up on the wall anyhow ).

Unsure if they ship, but anyone local should drop by =very laid back no pressure  talk to you a bit then leave you alone sort of place.
It's a dangerous place.
You can hook up the sample headphones to a massive McIntosh setup and check out the cans :p

Maybe it is on the list already didn't see it.
